Since launching Bloomtown in 2001, Darcy has designed dozens of gardens in the Portland metro area. Her company, Bloomtown Gardens, focuses on creating residential gardens with an emphasis on creating spaces for outdoor living and gardens that delight the senses year–round. She is well known for her rich, textural plantings and creative use of small spaces.
Her gardens have been featured in many publications, including Sunset, Fine Gardening, Better Homes & Gardens, Oregon Home, Homes + Gardens Northwest, The Oregonian’s Homes & Gardens Northwest, and more.
While Darcy’s primary work revolves around designing gardens, she also does some work as a garden communicator, offering lectures, teaching classes, freelance writing and photography.
